Re: WC-26 Carryall Restoration
I got the mat from Midwest Military, they are the only place I found that has the mat 46 inches wide. You need that for the carryall and the panel. Phil

Re: WC-26 Carryall Restoration
Repairs made to seat frames, test fit in truck. Now off to the sandblaster!
I converted this extra drivers seat to a middle seat, the frame and sheet metal are the same.

Re: WC-26 Carryall Restoration
Something I have done on my last three restorations is replace the steel hood pin with a solid brass brazing rod. No rust creeping out of the hinge, don't have to oil, and will not rust.

Re: WC-26 Carryall Restoration
I put the top on today, I have been dreading this. It was not bad, took about three hours.
Covered any sharp edges with seam sealer. I used a little contact glue on this edge to get the canvas to lay flat, but it was not realy needed.
Used wood pegs to hold the other side as I streached the canvas as I hammered in the rubber seal. Used a dul screw driver to push in the seal lip as I went along. Used water to make the seal go in a little easer.
Half way there.
Used a razor knife to cut the canvas under the seal.
Done.

Re: WC-26 Carryall Restoration
Thank you, I do appreciate the feedback.
I used stock canvas from Beachwood. I have not decided to "coat" it with anything yet, but don't think I will.
