VC, Jamul, California, cheap but rough

Post by Gordon_M »

Dave Fenner sent me some images of a VC recovered by a towing guy in Jamul, California.

Confirmed as a VC 1, USA W-204616. with added '39 civilian cab. Looks rough but solid, few hundred dollars.

I have image copies but can't post here, Dave can be contacted at <dlfenner@aol.com> for more info.

If it were 1000 miles closer, I'd have to look into it. As it is, way too far for me.
I hope somebody saves it.

Thanks Gordon for helping me with the Log In.

Here is a short update on this VC. I was able to buy it after this first post went up in 2021. It had been moved Jamul to a salvage yard in San Diego. It is now in Texas with some more VC's. This VC and each of the others individually would be unrestorable; together they will be able to make a few good VC's. Other than a good floor (have an original for a pattern) I have amassed the rest of an original body and most everything else needed. Stay tuned.
