My 24 Dec 43 WC52 81681612 has what appears to be the 'straight' draglink made for the earlyWC. I would think that a WC of that year would have had the longer bent draglink? This piece appears to be original to the truck? Surely it's not the one meant for the 1.5T WC?
Anyone know what I'm working with here?
Draglink difference?

Re: Draglink difference?
I think you already know.
I'd expect to see that on a half ton or civilian truck, anything with the heavier suspension should have a heavier link, and I think this was one of the parts that was beefed again when they upgraded prop joints and so on, around the time the 1.5 ton was introduced.
It will do fine for now, just keep an eye open for a heavier one.

Thanks, Gordon. I've owned the truck for about 4 years, and just now noticed it

I'll bet it didn't slow it down any.
