Trailer 2 Wheel Cargo, how to identify

Post by Florence »

Hello,
not sure if this is the right forum as it is not a Truck, only a Trailer ...

Is there any info around which manufacturer in which year used this kind of data plate?
There is no date stamped, only CT-1478

I asume CT stands for Cargo Trailer?
Already found this great page on Ben Hur Trailers:

No idea Sylvia, got one myself but no idea who made it ...

I'd guess the " Trailers, 1/2 ton Plus " section of G503 might be the place?

If you can find the original USA numbers you can cross reference to the manufacturer.

Thank you both!
I searched the G503 up and down without any direct details on this particular trailer plate but found lots of very interesting Pictures and info for me as a newbie on Trailers

The trailer is still very firm and has nice Patina so in this case I will not remove the paint to look underneath.
I think the actual number was repainted 20 years ago.

Will post pictures when I got it home. What may take a while due to other projects at the moment. First it is secured.

Greetings
Sylvia

Hello Sylvia,

I know as much from trailers as you do I think.

What I found out last years, is that the different manufacturers used some different parts also.
Maybe by comparing these details with other trailers you can find out the manufacturer.

Maybe if you send more pictures people can give you more information on it.

regards
Frank
