CCKW WADING REMINDER
Think twice before taking your CCKW or any wheeled MV wading. Any gearboxes that become submerged, including your Hydrovac, will ingest water. You will note in the TM pertinent to your vehicle, after fording instructions, and this means you. Gear boxes will have to be drained, and bearings repacked. The CCKW Hydrovac ? It all depends on the condition of60 year old hoses, the late breathing system with the breather on the RH side of the firewall, may fare better. Why ask for trouble, tho.
